Everyone texts differently. One friend sends a paragraph where "ok" would do, another replies seven hours later with "haha sorry just saw", and someone in every group only speaks in emojis. These habits are so consistent that they are basically personality types.
Quick answer: there are nine common texting personality types: the Novelist, the Night Owl, the Emoji Artist, the Speed Texter, the Starter, the Ghost, the Comedian, the Romantic and the Curious One. You can find yours with a free texting personality test that reads your real WhatsApp chat.
The 9 texting personality types
1. 📜 The Novelist
Writes essays when "ok" would do. The Novelist sends the longest messages in the chat, explains everything in detail and has never sent a one-word reply in their life. Spot them by: the highest average words per message.
2. 🦉 The Night Owl
Most alive between 12 and 5 AM. The Night Owl's best conversations happen when everyone else is asleep, usually starting with "you up?" Spot them by: the biggest share of late-night messages.
3. 🤪 The Emoji Artist
Speaks fluent emoji. Why type "that's hilarious" when 😂😂😂 says it better? Spot them by: the most emojis per message.
4. ⚡ The Speed Texter
Replies before you hit send. Their phone is never more than an arm's length away. Spot them by: the fastest average reply time.

5. 👋 The Starter
Always the one who texts first. After a quiet day, it is always the Starter who breaks the silence with a meme or a "kya haal hai". Spot them by: the most conversations started.
6. 👻 The Ghost
Seen at 2 PM, replied at 9 PM. The Ghost is not rude, just busy, distracted or allergic to notifications. Spot them by: the slowest average reply time.
7. 😂 The Comedian
Most "haha"s in the chat, and usually the reason everyone else is laughing too. Spot them by: the most laughs per message.
8. 💕 The Romantic
Says "I love you" the most. The Romantic fills the chat with hearts, "jaan" and "miss you". Spot them by: the most love words per message.
9. ❓ The Curious One
Asks all the questions. "Where are you?" "What did you eat?" "Did you reach?" Spot them by: the most questions per message.

How the texting personality test works
Most online texting style quizzes ask you to describe yourself, and everyone thinks they reply fast. The ChatWrapper test skips the questions and reads your actual chat instead.
For each person, it measures words per message, late-night messages, emojis, reply speed, conversations started, laughs, love words and questions. Then it compares everyone against the chat's average and gives each person the type they stand out in most. So in a chat with two Night Owls, the one who is more nocturnal gets the title.
- Export a chat. In WhatsApp, open a chat or group, choose Export chat, then Without media.
- Take the test. Open the texting personality test and add the file. Everyone gets a type in a few seconds.
- Share the card. Post the result on WhatsApp status or in the group and let the debate begin.
The chat is read inside your browser on your own device and is never uploaded. The result shows names and types, never messages.
Take it further
If the personality test gets your group talking, there is more to find in the same chat:
- In a relationship? The WhatsApp love calculator gives you a love score, and Who Loves Who More turns your texting habits into an eight-round match with a winner.
- Want your texting style as a poster? The Playlist design turns your most-used words, top emoji and peak hour into an album tracklist.
- In a group? The group ghost finder names the quietest member, and The Chaos Report hands out awards to everyone.
No type is the wrong type
Texting personality types are a mirror, not a judgement. Ghosts are often the busiest people in the group, Novelists care a lot, and Night Owls keep the best conversations alive. Find your type, laugh about it, and maybe reply to that message you left on seen.
